07 - Welcome Kevin Drake!
We are proud to announce the hiring of our newest employee,
Kevin Drake to our growing team. Kevin joins AMS as a Systems
Engineer and will compliment our staff by providing IT consulting
services as well as programming services to our clients.
Kevin holds the following Comptia Certifications: Security
+, Network +, and A+. He is relocating back to Maine where
he is originally from. Before joining us here at AMS he
previously worked in New York City for
Google,
Inc. as a Field Support Technician supporting hundreds
of users in a fast paced multi platform environment. Prior
to Google, Kevin was a Systems Administrator at
Central
Maine Community College in Auburn, where he was responsible
for the configuration and maintenance of the college wide
network infrastructure. While at CMCC he also served as
an adjunct instructor teaching a wide variety of information
technology courses.
April 07 - Knowlton earns SBS Certification
We are pleased to announce that Nick
Knowlton has recently completed training to become
a Microsoft Small Business Specialist and passed the Microsoft
exam. Most small businesses would rather spend more time
focusing on their business and less time managing their
technology. Nick has gone through the necessary training
to help him specifically respond to the special technology
needs of small businesses.
Feb, 07 - Chamber continues with Advanced MicroSystems
As the Androscoggin
Chamber of Commerce moves into their new location
in the historic Pontiac Building at 415 Lisbon Street
(now known as the Business
Service Center at KeyBank Plaza), they have continued
their relationship with Advanced MicroSystems (AMS) as
their IT partner. AMS will be supplying all the hardware,
software and consulting services to help the Chamber with
the implementation of their new computer system.
“We certainly appreciate the level of expertise
that Advanced MicroSystems' consultants bring to our organization.
With their expertise we have made significant strides
in our technology and the ability to do things faster
and more efficiently as a team” said Chip Morrison.
The new system consists of a Microsoft Windows Small Business
Server allowing Chamber employees to collaborate and work
more effectively on projects and documents.
Jan, 07 - AMS is proud to announce the hiring
of Matthew Cyr
Matt has been hired as a full-time IT Support Specialist.
Matt will provide IT Support Services to existing AMS
clients as well as heading up our Preventative Maintenance
program.
