IT Consultant / Systems Engineer

Role: As a Systems Engineer at AMS, I work with a wide range of clients to meet their technology needs. With a strong background in programming, I specialize in creating highly customized web-based applications and services to enhance our client’s day-to-day business functions.

Education: Central Maine Community College - Associates in Computer Technology

Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Secuirty+, CompTIA Network+

Experience: My professional career started while I was attending Central Maine Community College. I began work-study for the Computer Technology Department, by my 3rd semester I was a full time Information Technology Specialist, and part time Instructor in the Computer Department. In 2006 I was ready for something new and challenging so I applied to Google Inc. Three months later I was hired and moved to New York City to work for Google as a Field Technician. Working for such a high profile company gave me the opportunity to master technologies I would have otherwise had limited access to. After 2 years with Google I started to miss some of the things I used to take for granted in Maine, and decided to move home and work for AMS.

Life Outside of AMS: When I am not busy supporting clients, I spend most of my time enjoying Maine’s many outdoor activities. During the winter I coach & participate in alpine skiing. The rest of the year I enjoy fishing, camping, riding my ATV, and skateboarding.
