Senior Systems Engineer

Role: My role is primarily the creation of customized scripts and web-applications to automate functionality and secure our client's systems. I also work with Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 equipment to setup switches, firewalls and site-to-site VPNs. I can also help with VMWare implementations with disaster recovery and redundancy in mind.

Education: Senior of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at the University of Maine -- Farmington

Experience: I was the Systems Administrator of the Computer Science Lab at UMF when in attendance there, then I interned as an Information Security Analyst TD Banknorth. I left there to become a Network Security Administrator at Time Warner Cable -- New England in Portland. I have been tinkering with computers since I was 10 but I have been in the field for about 7 years now.

Life Outside AMS: I enjoy mostly "geek" stuff, I guess, which involves messing with my home network, media center and Linux boxes. When I am in a bit of a grease monkey mood I may tinker with my car, or attend the occasional rally race. I also enjoy watching movies and working around the house with my girlfriend, Ashley.
